The Disney Wish was set to have its inaugural sailing on June 9, 2022, and join the Disney Cruise Line fleet of ships. Now, a different world has caused things to be behind schedule and the inaugural sailing (along with others) has had to be pushed out.
More time is needed to finish the ship and get it out into the water. This is in part due to the global pandemic, global shipping issues, and numerous other contributing factors.
The inaugural sailing is now going to be pushed out to July 14, 2022.
12 sailings in total have been impacted by this change. The inaugural and DVC-only sailing will be automatically moved to new dates and guests on those sailings will remain on them.
The new maiden voyage will be July 14-19, 2022, and it remains a 5-night sailing. The DVC member-only cruise will be July 19-22, 2022, and it will remain a 3-night sailing.
The other 10 sailings will be cancelled. The 10 other impacted sailings are:
- Friday June 17, 2022 3-Night Bahamian Cruise
- Monday June 20, 2022 4-Night Bahamian Cruise
- Friday June 24, 2022 3-Night Bahamian Cruise
- Monday June 27, 2022 4-Night Bahamian Cruise
- Friday July 1, 2022 3-Night Bahamian Cruise
- Monday July 4, 2022 4-Night Bahamian Cruise
- Friday July 8, 2022 3-Night Bahamian Cruise
- Monday July 11, 2022 4-Night Bahamian Cruise
- Friday July 15, 2022 3-Night Bahamian Cruise
- Monday July 18, 2022 4-Night Bahamian Cruise
These guests will have two options as to what they can do for their cancelled Wish sailings:
1.) Receive 50 percent off a future DCL sailing, with any paid funds being fully converted to Future Cruise Credit (FCC), and it is valid through December 31, 2022.
2.) Cancel booking and received a full refund.
For those who are going on the new dates for the Maiden Voyage, they have three options:
1.) Shift to new Maiden Voyage on July 14, 2022, and receive a 50 percent discount on their fate for that sailing
2.) If unable to shift dates, receive 50 percent discount on a future DCL sailing departing by December 31, 2023.
3.) Cancel and receive a full refund.
As of this time, Disney Wish sailings are unavailable to book until at least February 8, 2022.
