Disney CFO States Pre-Pandemic Character Meet-And-Greets Returning To Domestic Parks ‘Soon’

We’ve recently seen it happen at Disneyland Paris, and it now appears as if the previous ways of meeting characters is heading to the domestic Disney parks soon.

During the 2022 Morgan Stanley Technology Media & Telecom Conference, Disney CFO Christine McCarthy had a lot to say. Still, there was one thing that truly stood out in her words and it had to do with character meet-and-greets.

McCarthy said that the domestic Disney Parks (Walt Disney World and Disneyland) would see character meet-and-greets returning “soon.”

There was nothing further into that other than “soon.” So, we have to wait and see how far out that exactly is.

Since the reopening of the parks after the pandemic closures in 2020, characters have stayed socially distanced. The experiences were renamed “character sightings,” but they won’t stay that way forever.
