Disney CEO Bob Iger And ESPN President James Pitaro Reportedly Have Meeting About Acquiring WWE

Anyone who is a wrestling fan is aware that Vince McMahon has returned to WWE with the possibility of selling the company. It now appears as if The Walt Disney Company is one of the companies with a possible interest in purchasing the wrestling giant.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE CEO Nick Khan has met with Disney CEO Bob Iger and ESPN President James Pitaro. This meeting reportedly took place on January 9, 2023, at the College Football Playoff National Championship between Georgia and TCU.

A number of other big names have been mentioned as possible buyers of WWE. Those names include Amazon, Warner Bros., Netflix, Fox, and the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund.

With the return of Vince McMahon to WWE, it appears as if the completion of a sale is being pursued by the middle of this year. There has been no sale as of yet and nothing is confirmed, but many names are in the running.
