Another live-action remake is coming from Disney, and this one is for the 2002 animated movie Lilo & Stitch. Now, they have found the actress for the title role, and by the looks of things, it may be the best casting ever.
Newcomer Maia Kealoha has been cast as Lilo for the live-action Lilo & Stitch. This comes from many reports such as Deadline and The Hollywood Reporter, but Disney has yet to comment on the casting choice.
Zach Galifianakis is the only other casting that has been revealed as of this time, and he is set to be the alien Pleakley. The film will be directed by Dean Fleischer Camp (Marcel the Shell With Shoes On).
Lilo & Stitch will be live-action, but obviously, Stitch and other aliens will be CGI. There is no set date for the live-action remake that is currently set for release on Disney+.
