Updated Costume Policy For runDisney Races Includes New Restrictions

Guests who will be in runDisney races, beginning with the 2023 Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon, will need to pay extra close attention. An email has gone out to detail some changes to the costume policy for those who are participating in the races.

The updates to the costume policy will be upheld beginning with the next race and must be followed. Here is what’s changed:

  • Layered costumes that could conceal prohibited items are not permitted.
  • Costume props including, without limitation, those that surround the entire body, are inflatable, or physically connect multiple participants to each other are not permitted.
  • Foam swords and all-plastic lightsabers may be permitted, however, they may not exceed 36″ in length.

If you have not received the email or are planning on running in a future race, the full policy can be found on the official website of runDisney.
