The coronavirus outbreak has now brought about an extension of the temporary closure to Universal Orlando Resort. After initially scheduled to reopen on April 1, 2020, the closure has since been extended to the middle of the month.
The official announcement came on Tuesday afternoon and states that the closure has now been extended through April 19, 2020, with a tentative reopening date of Monday, April 20, 2020. This includes the theme parks as well as CityWalk.
The Universal Orlando Resort hotels have also suspended operations and that will continue as of this time.
Universal Orlando Resort will continue to monitor the situation and keep guests updated as necessary.
