The outbreak of COVID-19 is continuing to affect numerous cruise lines around the world and Disney Cruise Line is the latest. On Monday morning, it was announced that the suspension of new departures for DCL has been extended for all sailings through nearly the end of April.
Norwegian, Carnival, Holland America, and others have extended their suspensions of new departures into mid or late May. Canada has decided to delay the start of the cruise season until July 1, 2020, which means the early Alaskan sailings on the Disney Wonder are also not happening.
Disney Cruise Line has said that all new departures across all four ships in its fleet are suspended through Tuesday, April 28, 2020.
Guests booked on any canceled sailings are being offered two options:
- 125% future cruise credit (FCC) that can be used on a future sailing within 15 months of their original sail date
- A full refund of their cruise fare
*The Future Cruise Credit is equal to 125% of your original voyage fare and is only valid for sailings departing within 15 months of your original sailing. The FCC is applied per person and is non-transferable, non-refundable and has no cash value. Standard prevailing rates apply and Guests are responsible for any balance due after the FCC has been applied. If you end up not being able to use the FCC, you will be eligible for a refund up to the amount they paid in full. Standard cancellation policies and terms and conditions apply to future sailings. Guests who previously received a 125% FCC are not eligible for an additional Future Cruise Credit.
