During this temporary closure of the Disney Parks, the light at the end of the tunnel may actually be coming from Walt Disney’s apartment at the end of Main Street U.S.A.
On Wednesday morning, Walt Disney World President Josh D’Amaro shared a video of the flag ceremony still taking place daily at Magic Kingdom. With the idea of keeping hope going for guests as they deal with the coronavirus pandemic, Disneyland wanted to share some of its magic as well.
For more than 60 years, Disneyland has had a light glowing in a window at the end of Main Street. That light is in the apartment that was designed and built for Walt Disney…and it is still lit today.
Disneyland President Rebecca Campbell posted an image on Instagram to let everyone know that it will continue to glow through this time of turmoil.
