Last month, Walt Disney World dropped the outdoor mask mandate for all guests. Now, select Cast Members are no longer requires to wear masks as well, but certain provisions need to be met for that to happen.
Cast Members in outdoor roles can remove their masks/face coverings as long as they can remain six feet away from others. This incudes such roles as cavalcade float drivers, lifeguards on their guard stands, parking attendants, and those in horticulture.
It is required that Cast Members must still carry a face covering with them at all times. A mask must be worn when they go indoors or when six feet of distance from others cannot be had.
Even though guests have been allowed to have their masks off outdoors at Walt Disney World, all Cast Members were still required to wear theirs until now.
